Micro:bit (also referred to as BBC micro:bit) is a handheld, programmable micro-computer that can be used for all sorts of cool creations, from robots to musical instruments – the possibilities are endless. It can be coded from any web browser in Blocks, Javascript, Python, Scratch and more; no software required.

Our course will mainly focus on using Makecode to program on the robot car, from designing simple games to maneuvering the car to nevigate along designated routes. It will prepare our students with solid understanding and a sound knowledge foundation of Python programming.

Program Format

  • 10-12 classes per term
  • 1 class per week (Sunday)
  • 1.5 hours per class (programming + robot-operating)
  • 4-6 students per class (minimum 4 students)
  • English plus Cantonese or Mandarin as complementary language
